Mets Dazed by Malaise: Bonilla, Johnson on DL

NEW YORK Outfielder Bobby Bonilla and Howard Johnson were placedon the 15-day disabled list Sunday, making it one of the worst daysin New York Mets' medical history.

Town and YMCA officials are discussing ways they might conserve money and resources by providing shared recreational opportunities.

Supervisor Bob Angelini said plans under discussion include the possible construction of an outdoor swimming pool and a collaboration on swimming lessons, first aid and CPR classes, among other items.

``This is something we're looking at,'' Angelini said. ``We have to start somewhere. We'll be trying to see if it's logical and would be beneficial.''
